I didn’t fall off the face of the planet, it was just a really busy week.

.

I wish I could tell you that I accomplished a lot, but I can’t!  Time flew by.  I do, however, know that I got to spend a lot of wonderful mommy time with my little boy, and I had an absolute blast.  I can’t wait to move to a far away island so we can forget about all of these city life obligations.  Ahh, the thought of it.

.

Today was an amazing day.  The weather was perfect, 78 degrees perfect to be exact, without a cloud in the sky.  Gosh, I love spring.  New life fills every space around you, which is a big reason why I simply MUST be outside during this season.  (I always like the outdoors, but spring is when my urge to be there is the strongest.)

.

Axel adores being in the sun.  He is perfectly content just crawling his little heart out all over the lawn.  It’s so funny because he doesn’t usually try to eat any leaves, where as when he’s inside, he attempts to eat everything!  Every spec of dirt in sight, he must devour.  I guess that means we should live outside.  (I’m sure I’ve said this before, please forgive me for sounding like a broken record.)

Sunbathing Baby!

Hopefully, we will go camping again this weekend.  We want to give Axel some naked outside time, but we can’t exactly do that here because all the neighbors will get freaked out.  Patrick and I have a theory about sun exposure on the private bits.  (No, we haven’t taken natural parenting too far, calm down. :) )  There has to be some specific benefit to being naked in the sun, and although we don’t know what that is exactly, we still want to give Axel the chance to experience it while he’s young (because we can’t let him run around nude at age 12!)

.

I can’t wait to be outside more.  It feels so good to be in the sun all day, absorbing all of the vitamin D goodness.  You all know what I’m talking about.  It’s the feeling you have after playing on the beach for hours.  You feel so worn out, but full of energy at the same time.  The redness in your cheeks makes you glow with life.  (Unless you’re super sensitive to the sun, then you probably look like a tomato :) )  I love the sun.

One of the most amazing things happened to my family today.  I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I’ll just say that we’ll all be getting more exercise from here on out.  I’ll show you a video of “the big secret” tomorrow.
